Rosetta Translation specialises in patent translation and the translation of other IP-related documents to the highest standards. All our patent translations are carried out by subject specialists with extensive experience in the patent translation.
Patent translations represent a crossroads between two complex translation disciplines – technical translation and legal translation – and therefore requires a different type of translation team, a different workflow, and unique quality assurance standards.
We are one of very few translation companies to have achieved both the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification, as well as the DIN EN 15038 norm, the only norm specifically designed for translation services. As a result, our customers can be completely assured of the consistent quality of our patent translations.
We translate patents for a wide range of clients. These range from specialised niche IP law firms like Kilburn & Strode , Venner Shipley and Haseltine Lake to the internal legal departments of the likes of the Eaton Corporation and Praxair. We also provide patent translations directly for the WIPO (World International Patent Organisation) in Geneva as well as patent-related translations to many of our regular large legal clients, such as Bird & Bird and Baker & McKenzie.
By using teams comprised of specialists (mechanical engineers, medical doctors, pharmacologists, etc) and legal experts for patent translations, we achieve the best possible results, i.e. accurate translations of highly technical documents.
Our patent translations are routinely submitted at patent offices throughout the world, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Japanese Patent Office (JPO), the State of Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO), European Patent Office (EPO), and others.
Our experience translating discovery material for complex patent litigation cases includes everything from on-site document sifting and document translation to court interpretation services throughout the world.
Our office in Shanghai, the first wholly-owned subsidiary of a foreign translation company in the city, specialises in Chinese patent translation (both into and out of Chinese). We also provide patent filing services in China.
